Plomari Platinum olive oil is produced from the dominant local olive varieties Kolovi and Adramitiani combined in a blend, cold pressed, early harvested. It is a Protected Designation of Origin Lesvos (P.G.I.) olive oil.

Tasting Notes

Plomari Platinum super early-harvest has a well-balanced bittersweet taste featuring subtle and delicate flavors of wild artichoke, freshly clipped grass, hay, bitter almond, nuts, and a medium/strong pungent aftertaste. It has a distinctive green-gold color. As a natural product, its characteristics may vary from year to year due to different weather and natural environment conditions. We ensure though that we craft the best olive oil that our nature can give following strictly sustainable and organic cultivation practices.

Nutrition & health benefits

The high total polyphenol content of our early harvest olive oil has health benefits. Based on scientific research facts, this olive oil has a health claim for protection against cardiovascular diseases according to E.U. Reg. 432/2012, strong anti-oxidating and anti-inflammatory effects. It contains total polyphenols substantially over 250 mg/kg (775 mg/kg in 2021, 538 mg/kg in 2022, 733 mg/kg in 2024). The suggested daily portion is one tablespoon (14 ml) of olive oil. Another benefit is for its skin protective properties due to its high vitamin E and other antioxidants.
